THE IDEA IN BRIEF
While many women leaders experience the same challenges as their male counterparts, there are a few that tend to be more common among female leaders and these can derail the efforts of even the most committed and resilient. This five-month Women in Leadership program is designed to help women thrive in leadership roles through a combination of small group coaching with a professional coach, peer to peer learning, and access to a connected community of like-minded women.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The format is designed to be highly personalised and interactive, and the techniques discussed are practical and can be implemented and practised immediately. It can be provided as an in-person program comprising three 2.5 hours, fully virtual with a one-hour introductory session followed by six 75-minute fortnightly whole of cohort meetings and a similar number of Peer Learning Group meetings, or a hyrbrid, with the opening and closing components in person and the rest fully virtual.
The program is capped at around 16 participants. Two 1:1 coaching sessions can be included at an additional cost.
- Content covered includes:
- Resilience and self-compassion
- Building self-confidence
- Communicating for maximum effect
- High impact influencing
- Reframing and mastering conflict
- Effecting lasting behavioural change
- A Learning Journal is provided, containing all the content with spaces for exercises and reflection.
- Videos and materials from Kemp Street Partners introduce participants to the content for each module.
- Peer Learning Group Meetings (groups of 4-5) meet prior to the whole of cohort meetings to reflect, share insights and gain valuable additional perspectives, and help people commit to action. An agenda for each meeting is provided to help guide the discussion.
- Whole of cohort catch-ups hosted by Kemp Street Partners take place every three to four weeks.
- A collaboration space Slack offers opportunities to share insights, experience and ideas (for the public program only).
- Optional additional reading is provided for those interested in a ‘deeper dive’ into the content.
- A private ‘Members Area’ on the Kemp Street Partners’ website is provided for ongoing access to the content after the program has concluded.
WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM?
Kemp Street Partners runs at least one public program per annum. The program can also be run as a private program for a number of women in the same organisation. It is designed for any woman who leads a team (small or large, formal or informal, traditional or agile) and who is keen to optimise leadership effectiveness in her organisation. Participants can be from any sector: Corporate, Private, Professional Services, Not-for-Profit, Education, Government etc.
